For this redesign of "The Princess Bride" movie poster I focused on the objects that symbolize the main characters, rather than the characters themselves. I used a crown to represent Buttercup, the sword of Inigo Montoya & a banner with Westley’s signature phrase inscribed upon it. I combined the illustration & the film name into one cohesive piece by using the sword blade as a letter in the title. I created a flower & vine pattern for the background using the blue colors from Buttercup’s dress at the end of the film. I used a textured sepia filter over the entire poster to create a vintage feel.
