Wanderlust - Experience Design

"Find Your Wanderlust" is a series of art & environmental installations that encourage the viewers to go out into the world to wander, wonder & rediscover the beauty of the earth that can be forgotten in the commotion of everyday life. The act of exploring & getting lost allows one to reconnect with nature & find one's self. Wonder // Wander This composition uses symbols of nature & travel to illustrate the letter-forms. I combined the two words into one cohesive piece to create a visually compelling design in which the viewer has to carefully examine the forms to discover both words. The illustration is placed upon a vintage nature photograph in order to compel the viewer to go out into the world & explore. Wanderlust Lamp Installation I created a projection lamp with the previous word search design by cutting the letters out of vinyl which was then wrapped around a clear cylinder. This projects the words onto all four walls simultaneously in order to allow the viewers to be immersed in an environment of discovery. The way the light & shadows of the environment play upon the walls & forms in the room can create new combinations that each viewer interprets individually.
